8 Countries in 1 Day 2025

Sep 19, 2025 | News, Adults, Family Fun, Kids, Personal Enrichment, Teen

We want to thank our staff, partners, volunteers, and over 800 guests for making our 2025 ‘8 Countries in 1 Day’ celebration such a huge success!

Luckily, we skipped lunch, because we got to try over 18 types of food and drink from around the world! Our littlest world travelers generally said the gelato and mango lassi were the tastiest offerings, but our more adventurous eaters also enjoyed spicy biryani with raita, noodle salad from Myanmar, sausage pita pockets from Montenegro, chicken bulgogi from South Korea, and pumpkin ghapama from Armenia! It would be impossible to list all the delicious dishes we sampled, but needless to say, we did not go home hungry.

In our main lobby, the Xochitl-Quetzal Aztec Dance group kicked off the event in style, with a performance of  indiginous dances, including stories about their origin and meaning. Gauri Jog’s Indian Dance School then performed Kathak dances from North India with dramatic storytelling and theater elements. Finally, representatives from Myanmar sang traditional and popular songs.

We can’t thank everyone enough for coming together and working hard to make this day happen. Our staff has already started planning for 2026, so we hope to see everyone back again for more international food, crafts, music, dance, and culture next year!

And finally, if the food was your favorite part of the celebration, don’t forget to come to our International Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 25, and try candies from 8 different nations, just in time for Halloween!
