America 250 Part Two

The first half of 2026 has been a whirlwind as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and we’re just getting started! Below you’ll find information about our featured events commemorating this important document and our nation’s history, including concerts, presentations, and workshops. Meet Illinois birds of prey, dance to Honky Tonk sounds, hear the stories of Navajo code talkers, and more!

For a full list of America 250 programs, head to our events page and filter by ‘America 250.’ You can also see a full list of programs by picking up one of our America 250 event booklets the next time you stop in to the library!
