Help with College Planning at DKPL

Jan 28, 2026 | Teen, Action with Intention

While planning for college can be exciting, the process of applying and seeking financial aid can be overwhelming.  The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be joining us in February and March for three programs (2/3, 2/17 and 3/3) to help you and your family decipher that process.  The first session focuses on introducing the services ISAC has to offer as well as explaining the One-Click College Admit option. The second is about how financial aid works and how to fill out applications like the FAFSA. The final session is all about different scholarships that are available and how to make your scholarship application stand out. You don’t need to register in advance or bring any identifying or financial information with you, but having it may help to better understand the FAFSA process. Unable to make all three? They’re not a sequence, so if you’re unable to attend one you won’t feel left out at the others.
