Barb City Manor is a not-for-profit retirement home, located six blocks from downtown DeKalb, in the historic Joseph F. Glidden and Jacob F. Haish hospital. Barb City Manor was established in 1979 as an alternative for people 62 years and older who no longer want the responsibility of home ownership.
Barb City Manor will be hosting Lalo’s Q Fall Food Truck Fest on Saturday, October 10, which will feature multiple food vendors, face painters, a costume contest, live music, and more! Find out more on their Facebook page.
Barb City Manor has several upcoming events this fall, but the most important may be the long-awaited reveal of the top ten name submissions for the dapper rooster below:
Residents will soon vote on the dozens of community submissions received throughout August, and find this rooster an illustrious name, befitting his title as Chief Illumination Officer for this year’s Light Up The Manor celebration!
