Our Lobby Display Case for March features the DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, or DAAHA.
DeKalb Area Agricultural Association, Inc. is a dynamic organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing with people of all ages the storied history of agriculture and its innovators in northern Illinois. DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. is an outgrowth of the DEKALB Ag Alumni organization but its focus goes beyond the story of “The Ag.”
From its home in DeKalb, DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. will share the story of other agricultural innovators that have grown out of the DeKalb area such as the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. In addition, plans are being developed for taking this impressive story to a much larger audience, including the next generation, via travelling exhibits, educational programs and a “virtual museum” website.
