Library of Things and STEM Kits
At the library, books are just the beginning! Our Library of Things, located in the Adult Department, includes items to help our patrons find and develop new interests. Our STEM Kits, available for checkout in the Children’s Department, let young learners explore their curiosity.
Library of Things items and STEM kits can be checked out for 3 weeks by any DeKalb Public Library cardholder 18 or older. Patrons may check out a maximum of two Library of Things items or STEM kits at once.
To place a hold on an item from the Library of Things, call the Adult Reference Desk at (815) 756-9568 ext. 2150. To place a hold on a STEM Kit, call the Youth Reference Desk at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
