New Teen Books to Celebrate Pride

Jul 7, 2025 | Books with All the Feels, Geek Sauce, Teen

Pride month may be over, but we have plenty of new Teen books featuring LGBTQ+ characters from plenty of different genres for you to enjoy year round! Whether you’re into the paranormal (werewolves, evil spirits), or the more normal (high school students trying to figure out their identity), we’ve got you covered. Check out one of the books below as your next summer read.

The Corruption of Hollis Brown by K. Ancrum Hollis Brown is angry, stuck in his small town, and takes out his frustration by fighting. It’s the only thing that really interests him. That is, until he accidentally makes a deal at the crossroads and is possessed by the spirit of the equally angry and violent Walt. Eventually, they develop a friendship and that could be something more.

Messy Perfect by Tanya Boteju Cassie Perera is a star student at her Catholic school, but things get more complicated when her former friend, Ben transfers back in. Ben left school due to homophobic bullying that Cassie wished she had stopped.  Cassie decides to support Ben by starting an underground LGBTQ+ support group and starts to discover more about herself.

Love Points to You by Alice Lin Lynda Fan has the art and design skills to get into her dream school, but not the money. When a wealthy classmate offers her a job helping design a love story-based video game, she discovers love in places she didn’t expect.

Love at Second Sight by F.T. Lukens Cam Reynolds seems to be a mere regular human who happens to go to high school with witches, werewolves and people with supernatural powers. When he sees a vision of a murder, he discovers that he does have a special power: the ability to see into the future. Now Cam must figure out how to use those powers and catch the killer before it’s too late.

Pride or Die by C.L. Montblanc Eleanora is just trying to get through her senior year and leave her Texas town for good. After a popular cheerleader is attacked at the same time as her LGBTQ+ club is meeting, she and the other club members are suspects. They become unwilling detectives to find the real culprit before they are blamed for the crime.
