Did you know that September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month?

When you have a library card, you open the door to access all types of information and resources in person and online. With a library card you can borrow books, movies, magazines, CD’s, and even different things like Chromebooks or ukuleles!

When you have a library card, you can request things from other libraries and have them delivered to your home library through the interlibrary loan program.

Don’t forget that a library card from the DeKalb Public Library also allows you to receive free passes to cool places like museums, parks, or even the Brookfield zoo!

Come visit us at the Circulation Desk to sign up! View what you need here!

Can’t make it to the library?
If you’re a student at Dist. 428, getting your library card is as simple as walking to your school’s main office and filling out a form! Once it’s been filled out (with a guardian’s help, of course), return it to the main office and we’ll send your library card straight to your school! You can even use it that same day.
