Library Reopens Hours, Public Meeting and Study Rooms

May 25, 2021 | News, Adults, Kids, Seniors, Teen

Beginning on Tuesday, June 1, the library will be open at our pre-pandemic hours, listed below.

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

There will be increased seating available for patrons, though social distancing will still be practiced. Until updated by the DeKalb County Health Department, masks will still be required for patrons and library staff.

Public meeting and study rooms will be available with capacity limits. Click here to reserve a room. Patrons can reserve meeting space up to four months in advance, but will be required to follow DeKalb County Health guidelines on masks and social distancing.

The library’s Tree Room in the Children’s department and the Teen Room will remain closed until further notice. Indoor library programming will not begin until September. Until then, our workshops and events will be held virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live or outdoors in the library courtyard or at DeKalb parks. Click here to view our upcoming events.

As the library is no longer quarantining materials, books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs that patrons touch while browsing can now be returned directly to their shelves. Newspapers must also be returned before leaving the building.

We look forward to seeing you!
