Season’s Readings, this year’s winter reading challenge, starts December 15th! Play reading bingo for a chance to win prizes. Register in-person at the children’s reference desk OR participate using readsquared. This challenge is available for toddlers – 5th graders. More details below!
Participating In-Person / By Paper:
Register at the Children’s Reference Desk to receive a Bingo card and a bookmark (or download below). To get a Bingo, complete 5 reading / listening challenges in the same row on your Bingo card — either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. You can have multiple Bingo cards, but you can only have one Bingo per card. The more Bingo cards you return to the library, the more chances you’ll have to win the prize!
Return your Bingo card(s) to the Children’s Reference Desk by January 12, 2022, for your chance to win a gift basket filled with seasonal goodies.
Participating Via Readsquared:
Visit readsquared. You should arrive at a homepage that looks like this:
At the top right of the page, either login or register an account. Once you’re in your account, click on the Season’s Readings block shown above to begin registering for the program. If you do this before the start date of the program, expect to see a countdown on your homepage:
Starting December 15th, click on the missions tab to the left to start participating. Each mission has the five activities to complete that are the equivalent of getting a bingo on the card. Complete multiple missions for more chances to win a gift basket filled with seasonal goodies!
