The DeKalb Public Library is pleased to announce that we will hold our ninth “8 Countries in 1 Day” on Saturday, September 14, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Last year we saw our largest attendance with over 1,100 people joining us to celebrate this annual event. We’re excited to break our own record this year!
2023’s event saw West African drumming, Indian classical dance, temporary tattoos from Samoa, delicious Jollof rice from Ghana, and much more. Participants who visited each country were entered into a raffle to win one of many prizes.
How would YOU like to sponsor this community event? Please help us make this year’s event even more memorable by becoming a sponsor. A donation of $150 or more will help us pay for food, crafts, decorations, and activities. Sponsors will be listed on the library’s website, “8 Countries” brochures, day-of “passports”, and in publicity releases about the program. Sponsors are also welcomed to provide the library with informational handouts to give away during the event at our sponsor booth.
To sponsor this event, please contact Samantha Hathaway at [email protected] or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 1701.
Please contact us by August 1 to ensure that your logo and business name will be included in our marketing.
We hope that you consider sponsoring this fun multi-cultural event. And whether you become a sponsor or not, please consider this letter an invitation to come celebrate the culture of Scotland, Madagascar, Japan, and many others during “8 Countries in 1 Day” on September 14. We hope to see you there!
