Did you know that the DeKalb Public Library has a second entrance? This one is located on the east side of the building and has a shorter ramp than the main entrance, which makes it welcome choice for those using a walker or wheel chair. The library is ADA-compliant and offers the following services/amenities for our patrons:
- Ramp or elevator access to all areas of the building
- Walkers with baskets for use within the library
- A large print collection of popular fiction and non-fiction books
- e-books on the hoopla and Overdrive’s Libby app which can be adjusted for low vision
- An audio book collection on CD
- e-audio books which can be downloaded
- Low-vision accessibility on public computers inside the building
- Accessibility Toolbar for our website by clicking the symbol on the lower left of the screen
- Story time programs that incorporate sign language
- Outreach Service
- Services for the blind and print-disabled
