Parents, You Still Have Access to “The Great Courses”!

Aug 11, 2021 | News

Hello, Miss Julie here to tell you about some great news: DeKalb Library patrons still have access to The Great Courses! I don’t know about you, but my family was totally bummed when RBDigital went away. We had thoroughly enjoyed this pandemic perk, and we shamelessly indulged in all of the British murder mystery we could handle (thank you, Acorn!) and we used The Great Courses as part of our homeschooling. And while Acorn is no longer accessible, The Great Courses is and this article will tell you how to find it.

If you have Libby downloaded to your phone or tablet, then just scroll down in the app until you find the spot marked Extra! Click on that, and it will take you straight to The Great Courses. Look at the pictures below to see what I am talking about…

That is all well and good, but I’m not a fan of watching things on my phone. I prefer to use my large computer screen at home, so I was very excited when I found out that you can sign into Libby when you are on a desktop. There are two Libby websites: one is just an advertisement for the app and one site actually works. If you go to, you will be able to do everything that you need to do, just like if you were on the app. It will take a minute to set up, and I’ll lead you through that now.
