Nearly a year ago, several DeKalb Public Library employees were lucky to be invited to act as official witnesses to Northern Illinois University students and staff creating the largest paper-cut snowflake. We just received word that NIU successfully obtained World’s Largest Paper Snowflake as a Guinness World Record!
The snowflake, spanning 44 feet and 6 inches, took NIU photography students around six hours to complete. NIU will host a free reception open to public to showcase the snowflake on Thursday, March 23, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the NIU Founders Memorial Library at 217 Normal Road in DeKalb.
