A new year means a new us, which means you will be seeing teen blog posts more often (thank you to those who travelled here from our Instagram).
Why not start your New Year with a new hobby? In January, we’re celebrating National Hobby Month with a display right outside our Teen Room with books about hobbies. Not just non-fiction teen books about hobbies, but also fiction with main characters whose hobby is a major plot point.
Whether you want to learn how to play Dungeon & Dragons, create costumes, or cook, we’ve got books that have it covered.
Maybe you just want to know if Bri can turn her rapping into a career (in On the Come Up) or whether Raffy and his ex can work together to win a cosplay competition (in Be Dazzled) or whether Greg and Earl can make a good film (in Me, Earl and the Dying Girl). We’ve got you covered there too.
While you’re in the area, be sure to check out our Winter-themed Teen reads display by the tech desk for novels to keep you cozy when it’s cold outside.
As a reminder, all books on display are available for you to borrow for free with a DeKalb Public Library card (also free!)
