About the Friends

The Friends of the DeKalb Public Library is a non-profit organization that raises money through two annual used book sales,  membership fees, donations, and the year-round sale of used books on shelves on the main floor and lower level. Members volunteer their time because they recognize that the library is an invaluable community resource. Since its founding in 2005, the group has donated many thousands of dollars to the library for books, materials and programs that have enriched the lives of many people of all ages in the community.
