Here at the library our Halloween books are flying off the shelves, but Halloween is not the only holiday celebrated this time of year. Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos) is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November. This holiday originated in Mexico and is mostly observed by people of Mexican heritage around the world. Day of the Dead is a joyful celebration in which family and friends gather to pay respects and remember those who have died.
