Book Clubs are for everyone! When we participate in a book club, we are able to share our different thoughts and interpretations of the same story. This helps us learn to listen and value different opinions.
Not only are Book Clubs a fun way talk about a good book, but there are also many benefits to joining book clubs:
The DeKalb Public Library offers multiple book clubs for kids of all ages, here are some of the book clubs that we offer:
- Bookworm Barbs: This book club is meant for grades K-2
- BARB Book Club: This book club is meant for grades 3-5
- Spine Crackers: This book club is meant for grades 3-6
You can register for Bookworm Barbs and BARB Book Club at the Youth Services reference desk. No registration is required for the Spine Cracker book club, just stop by to pick up your copy of the book.
