March 4th, 2015

Why are libraries important? Each month we will *show* you why!

The library is open to the public, seven days a week.  The newly expanded DeKalb Public Library will have:
• three well-equipped meeting rooms
• multiple study rooms
• a state-of-the-art collaboration classroom
• a story time and craft room
• a teen room with program space
• a dedicated quiet reading room
The meeting rooms, study rooms, and collaboration classroom will be available for rental by outside parties!  After holding six community-input sessions in 2012, we found that our community members wanted more meeting and study room spaces.  Stay tuned for more information on booking these spaces in the upcoming months.

Libraries are a vital part of the community in part because they are able to offer meeting spaces to our residents at any time.  These rooms can be used for group work, presentations, club and organization meetings, conferences, and much more.  The sky’s the limit!

Consider donating to the DeKalb Public Library today!
