Virtual Program: E-Sports Boot Camp

Kishwaukee College E-Sports Head Coach and competitive gamer Matthew Hixon a.k.a. 99CentMcFury will lead teens in gaming tournaments in which they will experience teamwork, and improve their problem-solving abilities, attention, and concentration. These skills are important for success in the STEM field and in the many careers related to e-sports: Coaching, Team Management, Marketing, Sales, Broadcasting, Event Management, Social Media management, Social Media production, Coding & Computer Engineering, and Graphic Design/Digital Art and Music composing for an E-sports title.
Types of games played include Minecraft, Online Platform/Creativity, Fighting Games, Battle Royale, Rocket League, Fright Night Funkin, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, and Sports Franchise games.
For this remote E-Sports Boot Camp gamers will need to have a gaming system at home to participate: Play Station 4 or 5, Xbox One or newest Xbox, Nintendo Switch, a current mobile device that can download games, or Gaming PC or Laptop.
This boot camp is for ages 11-17. Registration is required, as space is limited. After registering you will receive the Zoom link and password to join the program.
