Virtual Family Fun Science: Plant Explorers

Saturday March 6 @ 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

It may still be cold out, but we’re getting ready for green growing things! This month in Family Fun Science, we’ll be dissecting a plant bulb and experimenting with coloring cabbage leaves. Can you make a cabbage leaf change color? What’s really inside a bulb you plant inside the ground?

Join us for a live demonstration at our Facebook Live event at 10:00 a.m. on March 6. Click here to watch the virtual program at that time. The event will be recorded so you can watch it again later.

Beginning March 6, our program kits will be available on a first come, first served basis through curbside pick-up at the library (while supplies last).  Each kit will contain a real plant bulb, cabbage leaves, and food coloring.

These activities are fun for many ages, so we encourage families to explore together. No registration is needed to attend this event.

For more information, please contact Laura at or (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
