Have a Kindergarten-second grade student who loves to read? How about one that could use a nudge to read more? This book club is the perfect place for them. Not only do we read a book, but we have a Zoom meeting with a snack and a craft too!

This month, we’ll be reading Our Friend Hedgehog: The Story of Us. Hedgehog lives on an island alone except for her stuffed dog, Mutty. One day, Mutty washes away in a storm. Hedgehog leaves on an adventure to get her back, and she meets many unexpected friends along the way. Described as “full of love and joy,” Our Friend Hedgehog is a warm and cozy story. For younger students, it’s a great family read-aloud, while second-graders may want to read it themselves.

Copies of the book are available for pickup at the library, either though curbside pickup or at the reference desk in the Children’s Department. The book comes with a kit that contains a snack, a craft, a bookmark, and a coloring sheet. Please save the snack and craft to do during our live meeting.
