Thanksgiving Feast: Twist on Classics
Thursday, November 16, 2017
Location:Yusunas Meeting Room
Join us to celebrate Thanksgiving as a community! The library will be providing five dishes for a Thanksgiving meal while supplies last. But these aren’t your typical dishes, they’re twists on classic Thanksgiving recipes. Ever had a pumpkin trifle? How about roasted veggies with a cheesy twist? Find out what we can do with cauliflower and the ever-important stuffing!
Patrons are welcome to stop by and have dinner with their fellow community members. While you eat, watch demonstrations on how to cook each dish. Recipes will be provided.
This program is FREE and open to all, no registration is required. It is part of the “A Healthy Mind, in a Healthy Body” initiative between the DeKalb Public Library and the DeKalb Kiwanis Club. Remember, we have a limited amount of food, so come early to get your meal.
Special thanks to Lisa Brandt from Hy-Vee for assisting with the food and demonstrations and to the DeKalb County Community Gardens for providing the vegetables!
