Seed Saving Workshop

Saturday, July 22, 2017

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location:Yusunas Meeting Room

Do you like to garden but don’t like spending the money to buy seeds or plants each year? Then come to the first of our seed-saving classes! There will be discussions and demonstrations about how to gather the seed from your vegetables and ensure that they remain viable for planting later. Part of this will include information on testing the quality of your seeds and how to identify the plant families in your garden, which can have different needs when saving seeds.

The opportunity to tour DeKalb County Community Garden’s nearby Mayor’s Garden will also be available!

This program is entirely FREE and open to all! It is held in conjunction with the DCCG.

For additional information, please contact Samantha at or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 1701.
