Roger Angell: America’s Greatest Living Baseball Writer

Join us for a virtual book talk on Roger Angell: America’s Greatest Living Baseball Writer by Joe Bonomo, a professor in the department of English at NIU.

Joe Bonomo will discuss his book No Place I Would Rather Be: Roger Angell and a Life in Baseball Writing and talk about Roger Angell’s five-decade career as the New Yorker baseball writer, from his earliest magazine pieces to his most recent blog posts.

Bonomo is a Professor in the Department of English. An essayist, he’s Music Columnist for The Normal School magazine and the author of many books, including Field Recordings from the Inside and Sweat: The Story of The Fleshtones, America’s Garage Band.
