The Friends of the DeKalb Public Library, The Friends of the University Libraries, and the Friends of the NIU Art Museum are co-sponsoring a trip to Chicago’s Printers Row Lit Fest! This celebration of all things literary includes an outdoor book fair with booksellers from across the country displaying new, used and antiquarian books and a literature festival packed with readings, discussions and presentations. Featured speakers include Sen. Al Franken, Stacy Keach, Rita Dove, Scott Turow, Rick Bayless, and Ibram Kendi. The full schedule of speakers can be accessed on the fest’s website: http://printersrowlitfest.org. Please note that while most events are free, many do require a ticket to enter, which you may wish to reserve on your own before the trip.
