NIU Women Faculty in STEM Fields: A Celebration of Their Accomplishments

Join us for a virtual panel discussion between three of NIU’s female faculty members in STEM.

In this program, three of our women faculty members will present a short review of their career and current research interests, followed by a statement of the people and institutions having a positive impact in their studies that motivated them to pursue a career in the STEM field. The participants also will provide students with information about practical ideas to encourage them to start or to continue their studies in STEM fields.

Invited speakers:

  • Dr. Melissa Lenczewski, Professor, Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences
  • Dr. Shanthi Muthuswamy, Associate Professor, Department of Engineering Technology
  • Dr. Rachel Rupnow, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences
