Managing College Costs for Parents

Saturday April 2 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This presentation provides tips on how parents can support their student(s) as they search for the “right fit” college. Topics include knowing the facts about college value, types of colleges and degrees, college visits, financial aid basics, teaching your student to budget, tips on managing money in college, and common concerns.

As an ISACorps Representative, Taylor Curry does outreach with students, families, schools, and community organizations to help students with post-secondary planning. This includes, but is not limited to, the admission and financial aid process. Whether students are looking for 2 or 4-year degrees, certificates, trade/vocation, or even straight to the workforce—ISAC is a free resource that is here to help.

This workshop is a part of Financial Literacy Month at the library. It is free and open to all. No registration is required.

For additional information, please contact Samantha at or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 1701.
