Lunar Landing for Teens

Tuesday July 23 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

It’s the 50th anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 11 space flight to the Moon and we have some fun activities to share with teens!

Join us to view highlights from the 1969 moon landing and other exiting space clips, code Sphero robots to maneuver the terrain of the Moon, conduct space activity simulations while wearing astronaut gloves, and be the first to complete a moon phase calendar using crème-filled cookies.

Co-created with Amanda Durik, Ph.D., of NIU’s Psychology department, who has been sharing her knowledge about space facts with the library via an interactive display in Youth Services.

This FREE program is intended for teens, ages 13-17, or in grades 6-12. Registration is not required.

For additional information, please contact Susan at or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3400.
