Tuesday, January 3, 2017 - Tuesday, January 17, 2017

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Location:University Village Community Room

On the first and third Tuesday of each month, the DeKalb Public Library’s popular Little Learners Story Time program will be held at the University Village Community Room.  Residents from Hope Haven and University Village are encouraged to attend these interactive story times.

Story Time is a facet of early childhood literacy and has been proven to help children improve their motor, developmental, and social skills.  Participants will receive a free book to take home each month. No registration is required!

This popular story time program, featuring music, finger plays, puppets and books, headed by retired District #428 teacher, Marti Brown, is geared towards children, ages two through five.  The library is now able to bring it to local neighborhoods, thanks to a Promise Fund grant from the DeKalb County Community Foundation.  The Promise Grant is underwritten by the Promise Grant Fund and the Wiegele Family Early Childhood Literacy Fund.

The University Village Community Room is located on Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb.

For more information about the Little Learners program, contact the Youth Services Department at the DeKalb Public Library by calling (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
