General Book Club: Crying in H Mart
Thursday June 9 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The General Book Club will meet to discuss Michele Zauner’s memoir Crying in H Mart.
In this story of family, food, grief, and endurance, Michelle Zauner tells of growing up one of the few Asian American kids at her school in Eugene, Oregon; of struggling with her mother’s particular, high expectations of her; of a painful adolescence; of treasured months spent in her grandmother’s tiny apartment in Seoul, where she and her mother would bond, late at night, over heaping plates of food.
This book will be available in the library one month before the program. It is also available as an eBook and eAudiobook on Libby.
No registration is required. This book club is intended for adults.
