Location:Nancy D. Castle Collaboration Studio

Have you ever wanted to research your family history, but you’re not sure how to begin? This is genealogy for the very beginner!

Ancestry Library Edition lets you access 30,000 collections and 11 billion records, which include U.S. and international documents and images from the fourteenth century to the twenty-first century. It is available only inside the DeKalb Public Library.

Join us for this hands-on workshop to learn how to start using Ancestry Library Edition to track down your ancestors. We’ll also discuss ways to organize the information you find.

Users must have basic knowledge of computers, including keyboard and mouse skills. The workshop is free, but seating is very limited. Overflow patrons will be able to observe, but not participate.

For more information, contact Britta at brittak@dkpl.org or 815-756-9568 ext. 2100.
