E-Sports Boot Camp

An event every week that begins at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, repeating until March 16, 2022

During this e-sports boot camp, Kishwaukee College E-Sports Head Coach and competitive gamer Matthew Hixon a.k.a. 99CentMcFury will lead teens in gaming tournaments in which they will experience teamwork, and improve their problem-solving abilities, attention, and concentration. These skills are important for success in the STEM field and in the many careers related to e-sports: Coaching, Team Management, Marketing, Sales, Broadcasting, Event Management, Social Media management, Social Media production, Coding & Computer Engineering, and Graphic Design/Digital Art and Music composing for an E-sports title.
Types of games played will include Minecraft, Online Platform/Creativity, Fighting Games, Battle Royale, Rocket League, Fright Night Funkin, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, and Sports Franchise games.
Each player will need to bring their Chromebook or laptop or phone/device to participate. This boot camp is for ages 11-17. Registration is required, as space is limited. Registration covers the E-Sports Boot Camp on March 2, 9, and 16.
