Creative Budgeting to Start your New Business
Thursday April 21 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Start-up Truth #7 – There is more than one way to start or fund a new business. It often looks different based on your industry, your business relationships, the level of desired risk, and several other factors. This session will explore a multitude of resources and truths around bootstrapping and growing your new business.
You can make something out of nothing! Come with your business ideas, questions, hardships, and anything else you might want addressed. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t make the same ones!
Brian Oster is the President of OC Creative, a thriving 13-person creative advertising agency based in DeKalb that recently crossed the milestone of having a Chicago area Super Bowl commercial. Yet he purchased the agency with zero dollars down and was very much the underdog when new to town.
If Brian hasn’t faced a particular small business hardship himself, he likely knows someone or has a client who did. He is quite passionate and empathetic, so truths and stories will be shared of his and others’ speed bumps along the way to small business success.
This workshop is a part of Financial Literacy Month at the library.
