BARB (Books Are Really Brilliant) Book Club: Twenty and Ten
Tuesday November 16 @ 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM
Would you be courageous enough to rescue someone, even if it put you in danger?
In Twenty and Ten, the Nazis have taken over France. Twenty school children are staying safe by living at their school. One day, a man comes and asks, “Will you hide 10 Jewish children?” They do it, even though they know the Nazis are looking for these children. When the Nazis do come, will they be able to keep the Jewish children safe?
Twenty and Ten is a short but powerful look at the difference that children can make. At our BARB meeting, 3rd-5th grade students read a book and talk about it, but that’s not all! We’ll also play a game.
We are planning on meeting inside the library’s Zimmerman Room, but please register and we will keep you updated if the meeting location changes.
Pick up a copy of Twenty and Ten and a free bookmark starting October 19th at the Children’s Department desk.
Please register for this event, as there is a limit of 8 participants.
