BARB Book Club
Tuesday July 20 @ 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Mr. Penguin is a Professional Adventurer. Well, he will be—as soon as he gets his first adventure! Then the Museum of Extraordinary Objects calls for help finding a secret buried treasure. Can Mr. Penguin and his sidekick Colin (a spider who does kung fu) solve clues, survive a jungle, and outwit jewel thieves to retrieve the treasure?
Adventure awaits in our BARB (Books Are Really Brilliant) book club this month! In this book club, rising 3rd-5th grade students read a book and talk about it, but that’s not all! We’ll also play a game and eat a snack at our in-person, socially-distanced meeting.
Pick up a copy of Mr. Penguin and the Lost Treasure and a free bookmark starting June 22 at the reference desk in the Children’s Department. The ebook is also available for free on Hoopla, an online service.
Please register for this event. You can do that using the registration form below or when picking up a physical copy of the book from the library.
This program has a limit of 8 participants.
For more information or help with registration, please contact Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
