Archaeology Adventures
Tuesday July 19 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Discovery Archaeology! Archaeology Adventures is an educational experience for kindergarten – 3rd grade students that introduces them to science and history through stories and hands-on activities based in archaeology.
Archaeology Adventures sends young readers on an adventure with the Center for American Archeology in this 90-minute program! We begin by reading a story about archaeological fieldwork that includes show-and-tell artifacts, tools, and models to teach young learners how archaeologists excavate a site – Archaeologists Dig for Clues by Kate Duke. Then the adventure jumps to the future with Trash Bin Archaeology as we explore modern artifacts to learn how archaeologists identify, interpret, and tell the stories of the past.
This program is for children in grades K-3. Please register as space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome!
