Author James Ponti Virtual Visit

The DeKalb Public Library’s Magic Muffins Club, which is a club for DeKalb area tweens, will have an extra special treat as the author of the book, Dead City, will virtually join the group on Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 p.m. Ponti will be phone conferenced in to discuss his books and writing with tweens! Participants will have the chance to ask him questions and get direct feedback! The books are available at the library for check-out. James Ponti was a writer for TV and produced shows for the History Channel, Spike TV and Golf Channel. He has written for Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club and PBS’s Clifford’s Puppy Days. Dead City is his first novel and first in the Dead City trilogy. The Dead City Trilogy is an Aladdin Middle Grade series about Molly Bigelow and the Omegas, a super-secret society charged with policing and protecting the undead of New York City. Dead City was selected for the Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List, the Florida Sunshine State Young Readers Award Master List as well as state lists for Arizona and Missouri.

This free event is open to anyone between the ages of 10-14 and no registration is required.
