Edit: Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are offering this program at four different times: 10 AM, 10:30 AM, 11 AM, and 11:30 AM. For safety reasons, we are limiting attendance to eight participants per timeslot. After each family is finished, the area will be thoroughly wiped down and sanitized. As usual, masks need to be worn, even at this outdoor program. We are excited to still be able to hold safe family programming at this time, and your understanding is appreciated. The signup page can be accessed here.
In November, Miss Julie and Miss Laura will be taking Family Fun Science on the road! On November 14 we will meet at Welsh Park in DeKalb. The park is located at 651 Russell Road in DeKalb, and the shelter we will be meeting at is circled in blue in the picture below:
Parking is available on the street on Russell Road.
Miss Julie and Miss Laura will bring a number of recycled items with them for you to use: soda bottles, plates, old pens, etc. You will also be provided with stickers and paint to decorate your bird feeders, and some birdseed to get you started! The following slide show gives several ideas of what you can do:
If you are itching to get started early on a bird feeder, or are disappointed because you already have plans and cannot make our program, then check out a book and make one on your own! This link will take you to our page in PrairieCat so you can place a hold on the book you wish to read:
Space at this fun program is limited, so please sign up here to reserve your family’s table and supplies. We hope to see you there!
