Our very own Steven Torres-Roman is at it again! His book, co-authored with Cason E. Snow, Dragons in the Stack: A Teen Librarian’s Guide to Tabletop Role-Playing, has recently won a 2015 ENnies Judges’ Spotlight Award!
This book is a one-stop, complete guide to tabletop role-playing games for novice librarians as well as seasoned players. A few of its features include:
- Discussion of collection development, cataloging, and programs for teens
- Detailed reviews of scores of popular and less well-known role-playing games
- Outline of a variety of affordable, effective programs for teens that involve role-playing tabletop games
Dragons in the Stacks has received excellent reviews and continues to impress both the world of RPGs and the library community as a whole.
Steve is the teen librarian at DeKalb Public Library, DeKalb, IL. He has worked extensively with teens and literacy for the last ten years, and is the author of Libraries Unlimited’s Read On … Science Fiction: Reading Lists for Every Taste. Torres-Roman holds a master of arts degree in English in addition to his master’s degree in library and information sciences.
