A Perfect Day for an Albatross: Experiences on Midway Atoll

Do you love spring?  Do you enjoy art?  Join Jo Plenger-Schulz and help create a temporary mural that will be displayed at the library! Over the course of two 1.5-hour sessions, you will get to help design and paint a spring-themed mural.  The finished mural will be approximately 6 feet long and 3 feet wide, and it will be displayed in the children’s department.  Acrylic paints will be used, so wear old clothes or a paint shirt—the paint will NOT…

Earth Day Endangered Animal Mural Painting

Do you love animals?  This year, the theme for Earth Day is "endangered animals."  Jo Plenger-Schulz will create a tree canopy mural, leaving spaces where animals can be added.  Get an "endangered animal" circle from the children’s desk, then color the animal using colored pencils, markers, or crayons.  When you have finished, give your animal to the librarian at the Youth Services Desk so it can be attached to the tree canopy mural.  The finished mural will be approximately 6 feet…
