The General Book Club will meet to discuss Willa Cather’s classic American story, My Ántonia.  Ántonia Shimerda is the daughter of immigrant parents struggling with the loneliness and hardships of life on the Nebraska prairie. Her story of survival is told through the eyes of Jim Burden, her tutor and disappointed admirer. Copies of the book are available in the adult services department. Rockford Original Discovered in Archives! Veterans' Memorial Hall & Museum opened a scrapbook in their archives to unearth a Rockford first!
