Free Comic Book Day

May 4 @ 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

The library will be handing out free comic books to encourage the love of reading. Each child or teen who comes to the library that day may choose one comic book to take home. Several titles are available, at both the Youth Services and Teen Reference desks, from which to choose. One comic per person and titles are available until they run out. Art & Design: Mandala Creations

Dot mandala painting is all the rage and so addictive! A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular in form. Either bring in already started stories, poems, comic strips, drawings, jokes, and news articles, or start something new at the library. You are welcome to bring your Chromebooks, or use the library’s computers. Submissions will be added to a layout and printed for library patrons to take home and enjoy! Volunteen Orientation

Parents need you to get out of the house? The library needs volunteers! Most teens need service hours to graduate. Sign up to be a Volunteen. Our teen volunteers are so helpful to the library. Over the summer, we schedule weekly hours during which teens and their friends can volunteer together. Zeen: Teen Magazine
