The Friends of the DeKalb Public Library has recently subscribed to Give Lively, an online fundraising service that caters to non-profit organizations free of charge. What does this mean? This means that you are now able to donate directly to the Friends by visiting their web page!

The Friends of the DeKalb Public Library believe in the importance of a strong, relevant, and well-funded library. The Friends support the library by raising funds to provide programs, materials, and services that are not part of the regular library budget. Since 2002, the Friends have contributed more than $65,000 to the library.

The Friends also assist library staff with ongoing collection development and special projects. In order to serve as a vibrant link between the library staff and the public, members are invited to volunteer at various library events.

The Friends’ book sales are on hiatus due to the pandemic and will resume when the library and the Health Department say it is safe to do so. As the book sales were the group’s top method of fundraising, it is more important than ever for them to receive donations in a different way.

Please consider making a donation today!
