Virtual Workshop: Approaching Retirement on TRS and SURS
Wednesday April 14 @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Are you worried about the Illinois state budget and the impact on TRS and SURS? Putting together a solid savings plan for your future and developing a clear understanding of your retirement benefits is one of the best strategies to ensure a confident, enjoyable retirement. We will review the “Windfall Elimination Provision” and “Government Pension Offset” that affects pensioners’ past Social Security benefits and how they are calculated. We will introduce strategies that are only available to Teachers Retirement System and the State University Retirement System participants. These strategies could mean more money to you and your family. If you are anywhere near retirement, now is the time for this class.
