Virtual Informational Session: Children’s Home & Aid
Thursday March 4 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Join us for a virtual informational session on the services that Children’s Home & Aid provide.
Early Head Start (EHS) is a program that includes Home Visiting and Doula services. EHS is a comprehensive child development program in a home-based environment that meets the needs of a child and parent. They provide services in DeKalb, Boone, and Grundy Counties and serve families with children 0-3 or pregnant moms (Doula) that are at or below poverty level. Their services include a home visitor or a doula depending on the need. They are currently providing weekly virtual appointments with either a home visitor or doula.
The staff will work with the families to complete assessments, health education information, trainings, screenings, and provide enrichment activities that boost academic growth to promote early education. Parents will have access to family support services, workshops, resources, and community connections.
Doula services provide help and support throughout the pregnancy. Doulas help pregnant moms know what to expect with pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, and even screen for post-partum depression.
Please register for this event. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Zoom meeting, a phone number to call into the Zoom meeting, and a password to the meeting. Join the Zoom meeting 5 minutes prior to the program, especially if you haven’t used Zoom before.
