Virtual Family Fun Science: Start a Garden Kit
Saturday April 10 @ 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and it’s time to start thinking about our summer gardens. Do you think that you would love to sink your teeth into a sun ripened tomato? Or perhaps the thought of biting into some crisp, sweet lettuce is more to your liking? If either of those sound good to you, then check out our latest Family Fun Science offering!
Beginning April 10, our program kits will be available on a first come, first served basis in person or through curbside pick-up at the library (while supplies last). This month’s kits include supplies to start plants for your very own garden. We have two kits to choose from:
- an easy kit containing parsley and lettuce (for the novice gardener), and
- a kit containing two kinds of tomatoes (for those that might be a bit more experienced with plant care, since tomatoes can be a bit finicky).
At 10:00 a.m. on April 10, we will host a Facebook Live event to talk about these kits, how to plant the seeds, and the proper way to prepare seedlings for the garden. Click here to watch the virtual program at that time. No registration is needed to attend the event, and it will be recorded so you can watch it again later.
Gardening is fun for all ages, so we encourage entire families to enjoy a kit.
