Tweens Read: Finding Gobi: The True Story of One Little Dog’s Big Journey

Book discussion group for tweens includes snack and activities surrounding the themes of this book.

Genre: Adventure/True story, 190 pages, published in August of 2017.

In this Young Reader edition, learn about the incredible true story of a friendship so strong that it crosses the globe! You will love the inspiring tale of Gobi, a lost dog who kept pace with an ultramarathon runner, Dion Leonard, across a vast desert. Follow their unlikely friendship through 77 miles of the 155-mile race and Dion’s struggle to bring Gobi home for good.

Check it out with a friendly Circulation clerk to get the special due date of 10/30/18. Copies available on the magazine shelf in the Youth Services, or on our NEW Book Shelf outside of the Teen Room.

Expectations of this Tween book discussion and activity group are:

  1. Be respectful to the person talking
  2. Participate in the book discussion, even if you have not read the book, by sharing your opinions and experiences as they relate to subjects of the book
