Sycamore Library Presents Virtual Mature Reads: Wax Poetic, Poetry by Candlelight
Tuesday April 20 @ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Celebrate National Poetry Month (April) with a virtual poetry reading hosted by Sycamore Public Library! Read a favorite poem, your own piece, or simply attend and listen.
We invite Teens and Adults ages 16+ to a Mature Reads Zoom poetry hour from 8:00-9:00pm CST. This hour will include up to 10 people with 5 minutes each to read and answer any questions about their poem. If you plan to read, choose the reader option at registration and we will set you up with a time slot!
Poetry read during this hour may contain mature themes and use mature language. (Take caution that some topics could be triggering.)
If you’re looking for the Gentle Reads hour that starts at 7:00 where only gentle themes, topics, and language can be used, and all poetry read is approved in advance, please find the link for the other Wax Poetic on this Community Calendar.
While registering, you can:
