Spring Mural Painting
March 26 @ 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
One event on March 27, 2019 at 1:30pm
Do you love spring? Do you enjoy art? Join Jo Plenger-Schulz and help create a temporary mural that will be displayed at the library!
Over the course of two 1.5-hour sessions, you will get to help design and paint a spring-themed mural. The finished mural will be approximately 6 feet long and 3 feet wide, and it will be displayed in the children’s department. Acrylic paints will be used, so wear old clothes or a paint shirt—the paint will NOT wash out!
This program is intended for children ages 8 to 12. Space is limited to 8 participants. Register below to participate.
Jo Plenger-Schulz has a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and a Master’s in Art Therapy, both from NIU. You may know her as the artist who painted the library’s huskie, which is currently on display near the elevators on the lower level. Jo specializes in temporary murals and looks forward to creating them with interested young artists.
